Electrify America will invest in metro-based direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations in 18 metro areas, including these new metro areas in Cycle 2: Atlanta, Baltimore, Honolulu, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Metro DCFC stations will be placed in retail locations and are intended to serve EV drivers in their daily fueling needs.

General Motors is increasing its renewable energy use with 3 acres of new solar arrays at two Michigan facilities. The company’s processing center in Swartz Creek and engine plant in Flint will feature 150 kW ground-mount solar arrays expected to generate a combined 400,000 kWh of renewable energy per year to the facilities’ grids.

The greening of the General Motors Baltimore Operations complex included the addition of 580 kilowatts of solar to the roof of its e-Motor building. megawatt solar array on its grounds, 6% of the facility’s electricity comes from renewable sources. Baltimore joins 70 achievers in GM, which is the global leader of the challenge.
