Swiss shipbuilding company Shiptec AG, based in Lucerne, and Siemens Energy SRL, Milan, have selected Leclanché to supply energy storage systems for two new hybrid-powered vessels that will operate on Lake Geneva. The water mist system integrates easily with existing water based fire suppression systems.

The Navius MRS-3 is being formally introduced at Electric Hybrid Marine World Expo 2022 being held in Amsterdam this week.

The US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory recently launched its new 20 petaflop supercomputer, Titan—a hybrid-architecture Cray XK6 system. Several leading HPC centers have signed contracts to purchase Cray XC30 supercomputers, including: The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Lugano, Switzerland.
