Well, America’s auto industry delivered over 100,000. That helped us become the world’s greatest industrial power. It helps that the auto industry will be building more efficient new vehicles. We’ve already decided we’re going to fix already-built houses, offices and factories that waste energy.

While the most common place for recharging was at home (51%), many are also charging their vehicles while out and about. This is followed by a coffee shop or café with Wi-Fi to improve connectivity while they wait for their vehicle to charge (42%) to increase productivity during this otherwise wasted downtime.

Going to scale means not only manufacturing millions of EVs per year but supporting them from recharging to repair. Shifting the auto industry, an apex industry supporting a host of others to meet a new knowledge economy around EVs will be no easy task.” A massive effort will be needed to make this happen.

The entire auto industry has given up on investing in Hydrogen cars. What a waste. The BZ4X version resembles Toyota’s popular RAV4, and features a distinctive “yoke” in place of a traditional steering wheel, as well as a solar recharging system, which “cleverly recharges the battery while stationary.”

To ignore this potential is wasteful and foolish. The pure electric vehicles, for reserve, must carry heavy and expensive batteries—which add expense as well as weight—and must have access to high-powered recharging stations [ 1 ]. It is wasteful and destructive to be burning this versatile molecule; we must stop.

V2G helps solve the major problem that demand for electricity is high during the day when everything from industrial plants to air conditioning is running full blast and then excess electricity is wasted at night. Hybrid electric buses and heavy trucks could power many homes or a school or a hospital in an emergency.
