Electricity is a commodity that is bought and sold, and yet unlike most other commodities, it cannot easily be stored. And the auto industry had just canceled the battery EV. At the moment, the auto industry does not have a clear interest in V2G.

The Atto 3 is charmingly if idiosyncratically styled, has a decent equipment list, a range between recharges as much as 400km in the real world, acceptable performance from its 150kW e-motor and a comfy if not especially dynamic ride/handling balance. It’s the first ‘affordable’ EV that’s not felt heavily compromised or compromising.

V2G helps solve the major problem that demand for electricity is high during the day when everything from industrial plants to air conditioning is running full blast and then excess electricity is wasted at night.
