A major new report published at the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership’s Annual Conference shows the UK automotive sector has been revitalized by consistently applied policy centered on cutting carbon. Policy changes have helped to produce a healthy UK bus and coach sector with nine manufacturers and a total UK market of 3,685 units in 2013.

This change in vehicles and fuel would provide our sought-for zero net CO 2 fueling or energy system. All we really need in addition to fleets of new paradigm vehicles are additional solar and wind generation sources. The government will make direct grants to automakers (as we do, of course) and also provide “subsidies of up to $8,800 are being offered to taxi fleets and local government agencies in 13 Chinese cities for each hybrid or all-electric vehicle they purchase.” I’m eager to meet him and learn more about this remarkable company.
