Audi still made the podium; defending race winners Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer were third (393 laps) in the Nº 7 Audi Sport Team Joest Audi R18 e-tron quattro. Lotterer in the Nº 7 Audi R18 e-tron quattro produced the fastest race lap in 3:17.476 on lap 337. The first and second place finishers.

Audi unveiled its redesigned R18 diesel hybrid Le Mans racer for the 2016 World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. Among the new features in the R18 are a more radical aerodynamics concept, including a new safety cell; a Li-ion battery replacing the flywheel energy storage system; and a revised V6 TDI diesel engine.

Audi is providing more details on the coming A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in hybrid at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In purely electric mode, the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron achieves a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) with a range of up to 50 km (31 miles). The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron uses a parallel hybrid design. Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV concept, which made its formal debut at IAA in Frankfurt ( earlier post ), is a strong indicator of Audi’s series-production electric SUV due in 2018—especially in terms of the powertrain. Power is provided by a liquid-cooled 95 kWh Li-ion pack. Audi's MLB.
