The Lion Electric Company (Lion), a manufacturer of purpose-built all-electric medium and heavy-duty urban vehicles, has delivered 10 battery-electric LionC school buses to the Twin Rivers Unified School District in Sacramento, California. To support these buses, more than $4.5 million has been funded to support the charging infrastructure.

The lease order will include the Nikola Tre FCEV, scheduled maintenance and hydrogen fueling solutions. Deliveries of the FCEVs to PGT are anticipated to begin in 2023 when production commences at Nikola’s Coolidge, Arizona manufacturing facility.

OPAL Fuels has constructed more than 350 RNG fueling station projects and has over 15 years of successful relationships with trucking fleets across the continent, reducing the carbon intensity of their fuel. Nikola and OPAL Fuels will also identify and evaluate opportunities to establish public-access hydrogen stations.
