In 2019, Clean Energy unveiled ambitious goals to exclusively offer zero-carbon Redeem at all of its fueling stations by 2025. At this pace Clean Energy would outdistance other alternative fuels, including electric vehicles, which are not expected to hit that mark until 2045.

Clean Fleet Report’s was painted in Cityscape Green, but the most eye catching element from the side view is what Kia calls the Aero Blade. This boomerang-shaped panel is designed to direct airflow underneath the C pillar, aiding in the a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.29. Smartphone integration and voice commands are via Bluetooth.

Clean Fleet Report ran a few test loops to get a feel for real world fuel economy and electric range. In addition to the above drive modes, there are four power modes designed to maximize the efficiency of the Escape PHEV. While not designed nor marketed as a sports crossover, the handling was solid and confident.
