Pennsylvania has awarded more than $3 million in Fuel Incentive Grants (AFIG) to 33 companies, counties and organizations making the switch to compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), or propane for medium to light-weight fleet vehicles. This year, AFIG grants focused on medium- to light-weight vehicles.

Pennsylvania recently announced the investment of $7.9 million in 21 alternative fuel projects in the state. Endless Mountains Transit Authority —$750,000—to convert five public transit buses to CNG that will be fueled at a public fueling station built by Dandy Mini Marts in either Towanda or Sayre.

Sunoco purchased the Eagle Point Refinery in January 2004 from El Paso Corporation. Sunoco will shift current Eagle Point production to its two nearby refineries in Marcus Hook and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which will now operate at higher capacity utilization.
