The special fuel, developed by long-time series partner Aral, consists of 50% high-quality renewable components derived from waste products. As a result, it has a carbon footprint more than 30% lower than gasoline manufactured entirely from petroleum. We are proving that low carbon fuels are also suitable for racing engines.

The funding of this zero-emission private hire fleet follows the successful pay-per-mile funding of taxis that Zeti previously delivered in London using MEEF funds. The Breathe fleet will replace existing gasoline, diesel and hybrid vehicles with Uber which is aiming to be an all-electric platform in London from 2025 onwards.

UPS has adopted a plan to cut the carbon emissions of its airline by an additional 20% by 2020 to 1.24 Jet A fuel is the leading source of UPS global enterprise CO 2 emissions at 52.6%, followed by diesel at 32.7%. More than a third of its alternative fuel/technology vehicles operate outside the United States.

The California Energy Commission recently approved seven awards totaling $29,675,072 and that are funded through the Commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program (AB 118), completing the first two years of the program funding cycle. High Mountain Fuels ($11,020,419 - Match share $11,020,419).

The alternative-fuel car evolved to reduce exhaust emissions and other problems derived from burning fossil fuels. The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), a subset of the electric car, combines a primary electric motor with a much smaller back-up engine fueled with a hydrocarbon/biofuel mix. It is much more than that.

We are working on changing our focus from fossil fuel to higher efficiency for cars and to different possibilities to drive our cars. We are starting with optimizing our conventional drive trains—the TDI diesel engines, the TSI engines, the DSG transmission, all of those technologies have helped us to lower our fuel consumption a lot.
