UPDATE: GMC has informed Teslarati that following the recall decision on March 3, 2022, representatives from the automaker contacted customers with affected vehicles and made the necessary arrangements to replace the taillamps on the Hummer EVs. All 10 vehicles that were affected by the recall have been fixed as of writing.

According to a Thursday report from Bloomberg, GM is working on a program that would expand its Corvette sports-car nameplate to a brand of at least two vehicles, including an electric crossover SUV that might arrive in the later half of the decade.

I have to admit, I was a bit surprised when GM announced that it would start its new Ultium battery-powered electric vehicle push with the GMC Hummer EV. Considering its size, weight, and efficiency, the Hummer EV could be described as a vehicle that is, for all intents and purposes, made to be a symbol of excess and consumption.

Not everyones convinced there’s a market for them all, but that doesn’t seem to have dulled enthusiasm. litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors, providing about 100km of EV range as well as the ability to travel further on petrol. Around 2025 there’s also a full battery electric version due.
