VinFast delivered the first 27 VF 9 all-electric SUVs to its customers at an event in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The first batch of VF 9s, produced and delivered to customers in Vietnam, has a 6-seat configuration. The 6-seat design is equipped with two captain’s seats in the second row.

At the VinFast manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, VinFast held an event to mark the deliveries of the first batch of 100 VF 8 all-electric vehicles for VinFast’s pioneer customers who made the earliest reservations. The first international customers are expected to receive their vehicles as early as December 2022.

In January, VinFast launched three electric smart cars: VF31, VF32, VF33. VF31 is a medium-sized SUV (segment C), VF32 is a midsize SUV (D segment), VF33 is a large SUV (segment E). The VF32 and VF33 electric versions will be sold in the US, Canada and Europe markets from 2022.

Vietnam-based VinFast and the government of North Carolina signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the establishment of VinFast’s first North American manufacturing plant. Recently, Vingroup started construction of a battery plant in Ha Tinh, Vietnam on a 8 hectare plot for phase 1, with a capacity of 5 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year.

We can assume it’d be a dual motor all-wheel-drive to live up to its muscular exterior.
