The first ground-up EV from the Chinese-owned British brand – the MG ZS electric SUV is build on the architecture of a petrol vehicle – the MG4 could be a major player at the entry-level end of the EV market. In my view, the remaining few percent will still depend on new BEVs in the affordable sub-compact class (BYD Seagull anyone?), to 7,471 units.

They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. Blending the MPG of SUVs and small cars understates the real consumption and rewards automakers for building gas hogs and unsafe micro cars which makes people want to buy "safe" gas hogs. We need an economy electric car that we an afford, not that nonsense.
