Increases in carbon dioxide concentration along with global surface temperatures are showing a decline in agricultural yields due to climate change. [ 1 ] This along with melting glaciers and shifts in climate zones do not bode well for climate change stabilization without drastic efforts in greenhouse gas abatement.

The students are able to identify the key problems, which often relate to their respective age group and may not be visible by adults, for example climate change anxiety or social media addiction.

The legacy of Mildred Dresselhaus Crawford received the Dresselhaus Medal on 5 May during the IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit and Honors Ceremony , held at the Hilton Atlanta. In 2015 Dresselhaus became the first female recipient of the IEEE Medal of Honor.

EPA will accept comment on the proposal for 120 days after publication in the Federal Register and will hold four public hearings on the proposed Clean Power Plan during the week of July 28 in the following cities: Denver, Atlanta, Washington, DC and Pittsburgh. Based on this input, EPA will finalize the standards in June 2015.

The study analyzes how extensively local planning policies could either complement the Obama administration’s Clean Power Plan (CPP) of 2015 or compensate for its absence. The 11 cities analyzed in the study are Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Seattle.
