Proton and Mitsubishi Motors to pursue broad ranging strategic collaboration, including electrics and hybrids

Proton Holdings Berhad and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) are in “serious discussion” for strategic collaboration to further strengthen the competitiveness of both Proton and MMC in the global marketplace. The two companies had signed an agreement in December 2008 on the development and production of new vehicles at Proton.

New study finds GHG emissions from palm oil production significantly underestimated; palm oil biofuels could be more climate-damaging than oil sands fuels

Based on visual interpretation of high-resolution (30 m) satellite images, a new study in the journal Global Change Biology: Bioenergy determined that industrial plantations covered over 3.1 which found that from 2008-2011 69% of palm oil conversion occurred at the expense of peat, even despite the introduction of a moratorium in 2011.
