The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of grant funding to implement projects which reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. Since the first year of the DERA program in 2008, EPA has competitively awarded more than 850 grants and 450 rebates across the country.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is announcing the availability of grant funding to implement projects aimed at reducing emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. EPA anticipates awarding approximately $44 million in Diesel Emission Reduction Program (DERA) grant funding to eligible applicants.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of $26 million in grant funding to establish clean diesel projects aimed at reducing emissions from the US’ existing fleet of diesel engines. Funds awarded under this program cannot be used to fund emission reductions mandated under federal law.

A coalition of environmental groups has filed a lawsuit challenging what it called the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) failure to address greenhouse gas emissions from ocean-going ships, aircraft and nonroad vehicles and engines used in industrial operations. These emissions are on track to triple over the next 20 years.

The engines also lacked two-year emissions-related warranties, as required by law. and Tool Mart, Inc. It can also worsen bronchitis, emphysema and asthma.
