The second generation 2023 Kia Niro is offered in three models–the all-electric Niro EV, the Niro plug-in hybrid, and the one reviewed here, the Niro hybrid. Shown while there was still daylight is Phoenix EAA Members' 11 plug-ins -- EVs and PHEVs of Sam, George, James, Todd, EVJerry, Ray, Ricky, Bob and Jerri, , of which one was Art's electric hybrid bike. One yet to be adorned Prius and the "Spirit" somewhat adorned! beforewe begin rolling back to Home Sweet Bisbee via Tucson.

Plus there was visiting with Elsie, the Sierra Toyota General Manager, who's warming up to the "Spirit" and handing off a pile of plug-in literature, including two x DVD -- Austin Energy's "PluginPartners," and one on the Tango. EVJerr even signed up for the 2009 Prius PHEV, too! Second Run was to University of Arizona in Tucson.

Quicke sidenote: PHEV3A as an acronym now encompasses the Tour de AZ: "Spirit of DC" Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle All Around Arizona (PHEV3A) EVducational Tour (tho it could change, depending on sponsorship to AAA Tour de AZ, or even eTour de AZ). The general theme (and purpose) is: Plug-in Arizona! Tucson, Pima Cty 4.
