The majority of the vehicles to take part are electric, with a small number being plug-in petrol/electric hybrids and hydrogen cars. The trails will take place in London and four locations around the UK - Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Oxford. All the cars taking part in the trial emit less than 50g CO2 per km.

​​ Day 1 - The Tigor EV from Tata Motors in Bengaluru The Udyan Express reached KSR Bengaluru on time, after having been delayed by more than 50 minutes enroute. The check in was at 1330 hrs - and there were no unsanitized rooms available, so we decided to take an Ola to go to Kropex Motors, the Tata Motors dealer at Singasandra.

The smallfour-seater Mitsubishi iMiEV uses lithium-ion but is likely to cost up to£20,000 when it becomes available here later this year. It ispleasingly quick but will still only manage 150 miles between charges, muchless than a tank of petrol, even if it costs only £1.50 to charge overnight.
