It isn't just Hyundai and Kia in deep water over misleading MPG claims--now Ford is the subject of a lawsuit over the MPG of its hybrid models. The federal lawsuit concerns the fuel economy of its most recent hybrid models, the C-Max Hybrid and Fusion Hybrid.

Last November, Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia found themselves in hot, and rather deep water. An EPA investigation found each manufacturer had overstated its gas mileage window stickers on 13 models--some by as much as 6 mpg. Hyundai has now agreed to settle lawsuits that followed the revelations, reports Automotive News.

are 25 mpg city/28 highway/ 26 combined. Our takeaway is when the Bronco Sport is loaded with a two adults and all their gear, 30 mpg will be realistic on the highway. There is a lot going on inside the Bronco Sport, starting with the rear cargo area that has a rubber mat to protect the carpet from mud, water and sand.

The BRZ is EPA rated at 20 mpg city/27 highway/22 combined mpg. mpg, which we thought was great considering how much fun we had whipping through the gears while seeking out every twisty road we could find. This is bordered on the right by a programmable display for water temperature, clock, fuel, amps and a G-meter display.

The front wheels are turned by the optional Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) delivering an EPA mpg rating of 36 city/43 highway/39 combined. mpg, which is a nice bump over the EPA Combined estimate of 39 mpg. The dash layout is logical, simple and clean, with three round gauges (tachometer, speedometer and water temperature/fuel) with black faces and white letters were easy to read. Kia unveiled three major hybrid offerings at the Chicago Auto Show: the 2017 Niro Hybrid Utility Vehicle; the new Optima Hybrid; and the new Optima Plug-in Hybrid. Niro is targeting a combined fuel efficiency rating of 50 mpg (4.7 Consequently, deceleration feels more consistent and linear than other hybrids, according to Kia.
