Debates over the feasibility and value of such vehicle-to-grid technology go back decades. This is good for the grid.

John, I know you have a place in New York's Catskill Mountains, just down the ridgeline from the Hudson Valley, so you're sympathetic to my plight. A lot of current and upcoming electric cars are in the 300-mile range.
