and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to start trial sales of the i-MiEV electric vehicle (EV) in Yamada Denki retail stores. MMC introduced the i-MiEV in Japan in July 2009, has started individual sales from this April and has sold about 3,000 units so far in Japan.

Mobility company Transdev , through its subsidiary Proxiway, which specializes in car sharing, has launched, in partnership with the Toshiba group, an innovative car sharing service using solar energy and quick-charge points in the eco-district of La Confluence, Lyon, France. The project will run for two years until December 2015.

Mitsubishi has proven that it’s more than just its vehicles that are green – by introducing a solar electric generating system on the roof of its UK headquarters in Cirencester, Gloucestershire (pictured). Made up of 196 electric solar panels, the installation can generate 40,050kilowatt hours of energy.
