Researchers of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and their partners have now launched the REF4FU (“Refineries for Future”) project to determine the refuel quantities needed and what future green refineries will have to look like to supply these quantities. The MiRO refinery, Porsche, and ASG are associated project partners.

Porsche will unveil the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid with controlled all-wheel drive and an electric range of 50 kilometers (31 miles) at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. The all-wheel Porsche achieves a top speed of 278 km/h (173 mph) and delivers a system torque of 700 N·m from stationary without hesitation.

Porsche unveiled the new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid plug-in hybrid ( earlier post )—the fourth model in the Panamera line—at the Paris Motor Show. Porsche views “hybrid” as being as synonymous with performance as with sustainability, pointing to the victory of the 919 Hybrid in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2015 and 2016.

The new Charger, electric and gasoline, is built on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform shared with other models from Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, and Maserati.

Here goes (in no particular order): Things That Went Well During the Conversion The 914 AC kit from Electro Automotive is a good one. I modified the wiring in the original 914 AC kit (as suggested by Paul Jorg) to turn on the regen when the brake lights came on instead of controlling regen by releasing the accelerator pedal.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the skyrocketing fuel prices that ensued last year got me thinking about how to cut down on my consumption of gasoline. But my car was manufactured years before OBD-II became standard. Using that gauge with standard MPGuino hardware proved tricky though.
