California ARB to hold community meetings on coming LEV III combined tailpipe and GHG regulations

The proposed amendments, known as LEV III, ask for more stringent tailpipe and greenhouse gas emission standards for new passenger vehicles sold between 2018 and 2025. California ARB Explores Amendments to Heavy-Duty Emissions Rule Based on Economic Situation; Directs Staff to Redo Tainted Report

In December 2008, the Board adopted two regulations directly aimed at reducing PM, NO x and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the estimated one million heavy-duty diesel trucks that operate in California.
