Motiv Power Systems delivering 7 electric walk-in vans to USPS as part of CARB program; deployment in Central Valley

The first vehicle now serves routes in Fresno with the balance of the vehicles to be deployed in Fresno and Stockton as part of a year-long program. Since 2001, the USPS has operated 30 electric two-ton vehicles on the streets of New York City, and these were later joined by a pair of two-ton hybrid electric vehicles in Long Island.

California ARB to hold community meetings on coming LEV III combined tailpipe and GHG regulations

CARB draft of updated AB 32 Scoping Plan for climate change actions post-2020; pushing for greater transportation reductions

The Scoping Plan describes the comprehensive range of efforts California must take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 and meet the state’s long-term goals to combat climate change. In addition, liquefied natural gas could be an important fuel in the shipping sector, which cannot be easily electrified.
