VayuGrid, a biofuel supply chain company based in Bangalore, India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to create a biofuel cluster around its VayuSap, an elite, high-yield Pongamia (a leguminous, oilseed-bearing tree), in Ethiopia Africa. Ethiopia was chosen strategically based on the economics and agriculture.

Now, with the GERD operational, Ethiopia might fully electrify itself by the 2030s, without much fossil fuel in its energy mix.
