German power-to-gas facility opens green methanation plant; €28M STORE&GO project

Green Car Congress

While the current facility feeds pure hydrogen (“WindGas”) directly into the gas grid, the new methanation plant provides for the generation of “green” methane. In this second stage, hydrogen from regenerative energy sources is converted into methane (CH 4 ), i.e. synthetic natural gas, using CO 2 from a bio-ethanol plant.

The Future of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles

Clean Fleet Report

The hydrogen ions combine with oxygen to create water vapor, which the vehicle emits as harmless exhaust. energy grid supports an extensive network of EV charging stations, whereas hydrogen stations are less common. FCEVs produce zero emissions at the point of use—only water vapor is released. The existing U.S.

Smart Charging Electric Vehicles and the Flexibility Market

Driivz

Implementing USEF enables large-scale deployment of smart energy grids. At its most basic level, consumer power flexibility is giving individuals more options about whether and when to use energy. In that case, penalties for overtaxing the grid may be levied.
