Bogotá orders 379 electric buses from BYD

The buses will be manufactured entirely by BYD and operate in the Integrated Public Transportation System – SITP, with the towns of Usme and Fontibón to be the first to enjoy the electric bus technology. Globally, BYD buses, taxis and other electric vehicles are present in more than 300 cities, 50 countries and regions.

Eaton signs long-term agreement with Argentine bus manufacturer TATSA to design and supply hybrid systems

Eaton Corporation has signed a long-term agreement to design and supply Argentine bus manufacturer Tecnología Avanzada en Transporte S. The alliance will produce six preproduction units initially, followed by a production plan to manufacture 20 additional units in 2011.
