Hyundai announced a sustained product blitz of 12 new and enhanced SUVs continuing through the 2021 calendar year. As an introduction to this blitz, Hyundai unveiled the 2022 Tucson SUV. One of the issues for the industry to confront in moving away from the NEDC test is that the WLTP typically halves the measurement of CO 2 reduction gained from first generation stop-start systems, which characteristically reduce CO 2 emissions on the NEDC by 5%. This reduces to 2.5% when measuring the same vehicle on the WLTP.
