Volkswagen AG has agreed with the US government to resolve criminal and federal environmental and other civil claims against the company relating to the diesel emissions cheating débâcle. Wessels Reederei signed a letter of intent with MAN Diesel & Turbo regarding the conversion of three of its fleet to dual-fuel gas operation. Doosan Engine, a licensee of MAN Diesel & Turbo technology, has confirmed delivery of the world’s first dual-fuel, low-speed ME-GI (main engine, gas injection) engine to the American National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard in San Diego. The vessels will each be powered by a single 8L70ME-GI dual-fuel gas-powered engine.
