(CIL) announced that CIL has received purchase orders for 460 natural gas engines to customers outside of Delhi, India. The B Gas Plus and B Gas International engines, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), are licensed by CWI and manufactured by CIL. India imports 70% of its diesel and gasoline.

The Volvo Group is developing its own medium-duty (MD) engine for trucks and buses. The goal is to create fuels that can be used in place of diesel, gasoline and jet fuel—though jet fuel will be the most technically challenging.
