The background for the development of the electric vehicle was a request from Stoos Bahnen AG to the local sales partner and Can-Am dealer. Since there was no suitable offer at the Canadian Traxter manufacturer Bombardier Recreational Products or in its own market area, the idea for retrofitting the Traxter to electric operation arose.

The car market, including secondhand vehicles, is very expensive at the moment, so not everyone has the luxury of just getting up, going to their local dealer and buying a new EV or even a new car that isn’t a gas guzzler. But that behavior and that idea are both far from eco-friendly! It adds up, leaving a hefty carbon footprint.

The check in was at 1330 hrs - and there were no unsanitized rooms available, so we decided to take an Ola to go to Kropex Motors, the Tata Motors dealer at Singasandra. It would be a good idea to retrofit this in existing Nexon's. We returned back and the dealer flagged us off at around 1515 hrs - with crackered confetti!

It was one of the first batches; has not given him significant maintenance issues from the time it was purchased. The original idea was three wheeler rickshaw battery swapping. The initial Idea was to have a 70-30 gender split, but then Bhavesh asked why not a 100 percent female workforce? He himself was in the market for one.

Also maintenance on these (no oil changes to speak of) etc will cost much less than an internal combution propelled car. People are scared that they’ll get stuck and have no way of charging the batteries, hey I have an idea why not build a wind turbine on the roof that way as you drive the turbine spins and charges the battery.
