In the interim, if Saturn retailers or other investors present a plan that would allow a spin-off or sale of Saturn Distribution Corporation, GM would be open to any such possibility.

I haven’t heard about them since (though the former Saturn plant in the area is slated for Fisker ) but the image stuck with me. A little googling revealed that the local Chrysler plant had recently closed, and these folks were hoping to see it re-opened and used to build a new generation of electric cars. The story of my life, so to speak.

But my favorite Junkyard Finds are obscure examples of what-could-they-have-been-thinking badge engineering , and today's truck has lived atop my wish list for nearly 15 years. Saab dealers were issued rebadged Trailblazers and Subaru Imprezas , because what the hell, and Saturn offered Opels that few wanted.
