Stäubli Electrical Connectors, a leading manufacturer of electrical connector solutions, has signed an agreement with SSA Marine to provide automatic charging stations for 33 terminal tractors at the Port of Long Beach. This project will create the largest automated electric vehicle charging program of any port in the United States.

Partial Consent Decree, CARB moved forward the company’s plans for DC fast-charging in more metro areas, adding charging for regional routes, and strengthening highway networks. Siemens’ e-Highway technology is being tested in Germany, with pilot projects planned for the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to connect to cargo centers. The overhead wire is fed from a container substation.
