With an announced on sale date of spring 2023, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is slowly getting attention from full-size pickup owners. Clean Fleet Report wanted to give an update as we are one year out from seeing the Silverado EV in Chevrolet dealerships. This review highlights the status of the Silverado EV as of May 2022.

VTRUX trucks (Silverados) were claimed to manage 25 miles per gallon combined. VIA was focused on fleet sales and a low cost of ownership. The math worked out (per VIA) that after eight years of use, fleet customers would save roughly a third on ownership costs. VTRUX often wore VIA center caps on their various wheel designs.

In less than half a year since then, Chevrolet has introduced two larger all-electric SUVs, the Blazer EV and Equinox EV , as well as the Silverado EV pickup. Bolt EUV has respectable handling considering it comes with all-season 215/50 Michelin Energy Saver 17-inch tires that are designed for low rolling-resistance and not performance.
