Canadian firm Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corporation is the latest to try to market a small, three-wheeled commuter vehicle. Unveiled today, the Electra Meccanica Solo features an all-electric powertrain, and seating for one person.

In Japan, Toyota is introducing the C + walk T , a three-wheeled electric scooter designed for walking areas. In addition to being environmentally friendly, the vehicle takes up a similar amount of space as a single person, and travels at typical human walking speeds.

The prototype vehicle, called Project PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility), is designed to ease congestion and pollution problems in cities. You could even call it Personal On-demand Driving.
