Norway-based Hexagon Composites’ subsidiary Hexagon Lincoln has completed the development and initial deliveries of storage tanks for a Toyota heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell truck. Hexagon received the order from Hydrogenics Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of hydrogen generation and hydrogen-based power modules.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) partnered with ConocoPhillips and the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) on the test, which was the first field trial of a methane hydrate production methodology whereby CO 2 was exchanged in situ with the methane molecules within a methane hydrate structure.
