Canada-based Rock Tech Lithium has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with the Government of Romania. We not only want to invest in Romania, but also build up know-how, create jobs and work closely with local partners. It took us almost two years to find and sign our first location in Guben, Brandenburg.

The Trollino vehicles will be fitted with Solaris High Power batteries with a capacity of 60 kWh, which will enable them to cover distances of up to 20 km at a time without connection to an overhead wires. Bucharest is one of 8 cities in Romania with Solaris’ zero-emission vehicles—trolleybuses and electric buses.

Brasov, Romania has ordered 25 Solaris Trollino 18 trolleybuses. Due to fitting the vehicles with batteries they will be able to cover a certain distance of the route without a connection to the traction line. Brasov is one of 5 cities in Romania that has emission-free Solaris buses: trolleybuses and electric buses.
