Ford, Detroit Edison and Xtreme Power are teaming up to establish one of Michigan’s largest solar power generation systems and electric vehicle charging stations at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Mich. Ford will work with Detroit Edison to install a 500 kW solar photovoltaic panel system at Michigan Assembly.

Power conditioners are used for direct current (DC)/alternating current (AC) conversion and their input/output control. The power storage system is capable of providing electricity for some 100 households for three to eight hours. Each container unit can be moved by container trailers.
