Eos Energy Storage, a developer of zinc-air grid-scale battery technology, completed its $15-million Series B financing round with participation from a syndicate of 21 strategic and financial investors. Eos has developed Znyth, a zinc hybrid cathode battery technology. Initial pricing is expected to be $160/kWh.

Defense supplier Arotech Corporation’s Battery and Power Systems Division has received an order to develop three prototype Li-ion batteries for hybrid electric vehicles from an unnamed German automotive supply company. We believe that between grid storage and electric vehicles there is significant promise for large format lithium ion.
