The momentum continued in 2023, as the company reached a cumulative sales volume of 1.5 BYD has been actively expanding its global presence since 2010, strategically introducing new energy buses and taxis for public transit electrification. In 2022, BYD’s new energy vehicles saw total sales surpass 1.86 million units cumulatively.

Mobileye, an Intel Company, and WILLER, one of the largest transportation operators in Japan, Taiwan and the Southeast Asian region, have formed a strategic collaboration to launch an autonomous robotaxi service in Japan and markets across Southeast Asia, including Taiwan. WILLER also partners with 150 local transportation providers in Japan.

Hyundai Motor Company will establish a Hyundai Mobility Global Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICs) to accelerate its innovation efforts, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). It also will help define the future business direction for the company. HMGICs will become Hyundai’s global open innovation hub.

Better Place introduced its electric vehicle (EV) services platform at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in conjunction with Renault’s unveiling of the Fluence ZE Concept with Quickdrop (switchable) battery system and an expanded agreement with Renault, committing both companies to a volume of at least 100,000 electric cars in Israel and Denmark by 2016.
