developer of a catalytic pyrolysis process to produce renewable oil from biomass ( earlier post ), has signed an offtake agreement with Hunt Refining Company, which has agreed to purchase renewable gasoline and diesel blendstocks and fuel oil produced at KiOR’s first commercial facility to be located in Columbus, MS.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the 2013 percentage standards for four fuel categories that are part of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. billion gallons of renewable fuels to be blended into the US fuel supply (a 9.74% blend). The final 2013 overall volumes and standards require 16.55 Final rule.
