The 2022 IRA established MSRP limits of $80,000 for electric trucks, vans, and SUVs and $55,000 for all other EVs to qualify. Dealers must register with the IRS to be eligible to offer the credit at the point of sale. It also set income limits at $150,000 for individuals and $300,000 for married couples.
