In 2021, Colorado's Lightning eMotors is introducing a new Generation 4 model of its popular Lightning Electric Transit Van. Assembled electric powertrains ready for installation into Lightning Electric Transit 350HD vehicles. The Class 3 van supports wheelchair lifts, custom floor rails, and custom bus doors.

Soderholm Bus & Mobility, headquartered on Oahu, is the Nº 1 bus distributor in the Pacific Islands and has sold more buses over the last 30 years than any other dealer. Lightning is shipping the first vehicle to Soderholm next month, and demonstration vehicles will be available in Hawaii this summer for fleets to test drive.

Ship-through will be offered, allowing customers to order and take delivery from the same dealer. V-8 engine with hardened valves and valve seats to PSI, which in turn will install the fuel system and other hardware and ship directly to Chevrolet and GMC dealers in all 50 states. All of the top 25 fleets use at least two fuels.

Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, centered on Denali (formerly known as Mount McKinley), the highest mountain in North America, has taken delivery of its first two hydraulic hybrid vehicles from Colorado-based Lightning Hybrids. The ERS can be installed on new vehicles as well as retrofitted on vehicles already in service.
