This could be the canary in the coal mine for a company that has been bailed out twice in my lifetime and always seems to be less stable than Ford or GM. for years, if ever, it would be the first plug-in to be commercially available—allowing BYD to steal a march on General Motors ( GM ), which is expecting to launch the Chevrolet Volt in 2010. WN : What about the argument that cars fueled by electricity from a coal-fired power plant ultimately are as polluting as cars using fossil fuels?

So far GM, Toyota, Nissan, VW, Mitsubishi, have all announced plug in vehicles they will have for sale in 2010. And start speaking up and speaking out against patently stupid and dangerous ideas like drilling for more oil domestically or using our abundant coal resources. You’d think the batteries couldn’t even get you out of the driveway the way Rick Wagoner at GM keeps making excuses and dragging his feet. We can dump both Killer Coal and Big Oil by generating our electricity with solar panels and charging your electric car with the all clean, all green energy from the sun. Imagine that.
