Volvo has extended its S60 range—the third generation of the premium mid-size sedan—to incorporate further powertrain choices and equipment grades, including an allwheeldrive gasoline-electric hybrid and a trim level that focuses on luxury and craftsmanship. Fuel economy (on the WLTP combined cycle) is up to 147 mpg US.

The word “quiet” in the headline applies in two different ways to the 2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country wagon. Volvo keeps the simple design going on the outside – it’s boxy and simple in style. A Climate Package ($750) added headlamp cleaners, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Handsome in a plain way.

Volvo Cars will extend its range of compact cars into new segments based on its new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA)—a smaller version of Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) ( earlier post ). Volvo Cars will also develop an entirely new range of electrified smaller cars and build a fully electric car for sale by 2019.
