The University of Wyoming (UW) has received a $2 million grant from coal giant Peabody Energy to create the Peabody Energy Clean Coal Technology Laboratory in the UW Energy Resources Center in Laramie. This gift will be doubled by the Wyoming State Legislature matching fund.

The Natrium technology has a 345MW sodium fast reactor coupled with a molten molten salt integrated energy storage system that will provide clean, flexible energy and stability for the grid.
