Combining the spaciousness of an SUV with the lines of a coupe, the Q8 concept features a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The concept full-size SUV is the basis for a production model that Audi will launch on the market in 2018; whether or not the first production version will be a plug-in hybrid has yet to be determined.

The company plans to do it with a mixture of all-electric vehicles, like the new XC40 Recharge, and plug-in hybrid versions of its SUVs and sedans. The XC90, as Volvo’s largest SUV, is currently its most popular model in the United States. I averaged 25 mpg over 364 miles of mostly freeway driving. Road Test: 2020 Kia Niro PHEV.

A Climate Package ($750) added headlamp cleaners, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Fuel economy is listed at 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway/26 mpg combined.

The agreement divides these new cars and trucks into four categories: Passenger Cars: The old vehicle must get less than 18 mpg. New passenger cars with mileage of at least 22 mpg are eligible for vouchers. If the mileage of the new car is at least 4 mpg higher than the old vehicle, the voucher will be worth $3,500.

There is no shame if, for you, Lincoln means either the massive Navigator SUV or the chauffeured Town Car sedan, as these are the most recognizable models from Ford’s premium division. The Environmental Protection Agency rates the Corsair’s fuel economy at 33 mpg highway and combined when running in hybrid mode only.

While some SUVs have numb steering, reducing road feel, this was not the case with the Escape PHEV, as there was never a time or situation where we felt disconnected from the tires and the road, including feeling planted around sweeping turns. With a plug-in option the Escape can drive all-electric (for more than 40 miles we found).
