Volkswagen Group opts for LNG-fueled car carriers

The two LNG ships will replace two of nine conventional freighters in the Siem fleet powered by heavy fuel oil from 2019 onwards. ITF report finds self-driving shared vehicles could take up to 90% of cars off city streets; total kilometers travelled increases

A fleet of self-driving shared cars combined with high-capacity public transport could make 90% of conventional cars in mid-sized cities superfluous under certain circumstances, according to a study published by the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD. Shared vehicle fleets free up significant amounts of space in a city.

Renault-Nissan and Singapore Government to develop zero-emission mobility

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has begun ZEV initiatives in Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama in Japan, as well as in Israel, Denmark, Portugal, Monaco, the UK, France, Switzerland, Ireland, China and Hong Kong. It will also look into educating the public on EV technology though a nationwide EV sharing programme or through corporate fleets.
