Volvo Trucks and Bucher collaborate to electrify sewer cleaner trucks

Volvo Trucks and Bucher Municipal have now entered into a collaboration to electrify sewer cleaner trucks. By the end of 2023, Bucher Municipal expects to deliver up to 80 fully electric sewer cleaner trucks to cities in Europe. The largest markets for Volvo’s electric trucks in Europe currently are Norway, Sweden and Germany.

First electric Volvo trucks delivered to customers

Volvo Trucks delivered its first all-electric vehicles on 19 February: a refuse truck to waste and recycling company Renova, and a distribution truck to the logistics company DB Schenker and partner haulier TGM, operating in Sweden. The Volvo FL Electric trucks are part of a pre-series developed in collaboration with selected customers.
