Much of the meager wind power that does exist comes either from other states or from the 30-megawatt Block Island Wind Farm—the first offshore wind farm in the US—which consists of just five turbines and only came online in 2016. But Rhode Island plans to fill the gap with as much as 600 megawatts of new wind power.

Genesis calls it the “G80 Electrified,” but instead of having it cast in with a bunch of hybrids and plug-in hybrids, we at Clean Fleet Report will simply call it as it is—the G80 EV. By 2025 it will come out with no new internal combustion engine (ICE) models, then by 2030 will only sell electric cars and SUVs. Story by John Faulkner.

This is saying something, as she has ridden in or driven many of the 800+ cars I have reviewed for Clean Fleet Report over the past 10 years. Starting in 2025 they will have no new internal combustion engine models, then by 2030 will only sell battery-powered cars and SUVs. Clean Fleet Report has been impressed with all Genesis models.

When Clean Fleet Report has the Electrified GV70 for a full week, we will do a deeper review that includes more details on the real world driving range. Wind and road noise were reduced partly due to acoustic laminated glass and sound-deadening insulation. The glass sunroof and rear window spoiler complete the exterior’s clean design.
